Self-description is much easier for women than for men because women have a more realistic concept of who they are. Men look into a mirror and see "Gods Gift" when in reality, God isn't paying that much attention. However, since this seems to be required, I will make an effort.
The quality of a person is determined by the obstacles he/she has faced and overcome. I can look back through my short life and see the pits I have crossed - always with determination and optimism because I know, between these pits, there is sunshine and flowers, music and dancing, beauty and love.
But lately, the distance between these pits seems to be shrinking and it is because I have not found the woman who, by her mere presence, will create more sunshine and flowers, music and dancing, beauty, and most importantly, love.
This much I can promise you: truth, loyalty, generosity, support, fidelity and an honest effort to create those things in your life that will make you happy. If you need to talk, I will listen. If you need shelter from the storm, I will be your umbrella. If you need to cry, I won't ask why, but I will be there to hold you. More than this I am unable or unwilling to say but I do know, when my next pit opens, I hope to see you on the other side with your hand out and your heart open, with love, courage, and a smile. I will grasp your hand and return love for love, courage for courage, and smile for smile.

For those few that are still here I will only add this: the person I seek has no defineable set of qualities. She could be a police officer, super-hero, lawyer, banker, dancer,cocktail waitress, seamstress, teacher, forester- It doesn't matter - I am open to new ideas, new techniques, new skills. But she should have a passion for her profession, be honest, be loyal, and be dependable. She should also be a person who embraces reality but can still dream, is focused on problems outside herself but can still achieve, self-fullfillment and have firm goals and personal values and still be spontaneous.
She should enjoy the arts in all its forms - theater, concerts, ballet, literature, painting, sculpture, music, dance,and most of all, nature. She should be attractive and physically fit. Beautiful is not necessary - beauty sometimes captures your attention but it is character that captures the heart.
I'm not looking for the perfect woman. God help the man who waits to marry until he finds the perfect mate and God help him even more if he does find her. We find love not by finding a perfect person but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly. This is what I am looking for - that imperfect person who I can see, feel, appreciate, and love perfectly.
