Luckily or unluckily, depending on your point of view, I work from home as a digital designer, putting together e-brochures and audio-visual presentations for clients. My interests apart from the design work are many. I have, for instance, something of an obsession with movies and their DVD counterparts. Allow me to continue the list with philosophy (you know, as in the attempt to find meaning when, in all likelihood, there probably isn't any); music (rock, pop, jazz, blues and classical); design (mainly graphical layouts and photo-editing); film making (I'm modest about this as I'm coming to grips with shooting video); literary stuff (I'm wading through five different titles in addition to the usual magazines and internet guff); taking exercise (I walk or jog daily, engage in a spot of modest weight training, and enjoy the occasional rally of tennis.) Heck, there's no doubt more that I haven't listed; I just didn't want to bore you to sleepy tears.

I don't think you can know the type of person you like until through fate or emotional roulette or whatever it is, you are lucky enough to bump into them. I try to remember the time-honoured rule that asks the question: would you talk to this person for more than five minutes if you met at a party?
